Epic Fail?

Yeah right.

Day one of turning over a new leaf: I have two slices of pizza, garlic bread, and Pepsi.

Day two: I only do ten minutes of elliptical, and then indulge in biryani and Pepsi for dinner. For all those who don't know what biryani is; its a lovely, delicious decadent rice and chicken dish.

I so totally suck.

Ah well. In the words of Scarlett O'Hara, tomorrow is another day. It better be.

new year, new me

This is it. I'm sick and tired of being fat, lazy and emotionally eating my way through life.

I used to be pretty damn spiffing, if I do say so myself. After my marriage and subsequent relocation, I went through a very depressing stage and stopped basically caring about what I looked like, what I ate, and frankly pretty much everything. Fast forward six years, a pregnancy, and a decision to be a stay-at-home mom (a decision  I have never regretted to this day), I remain a fatty blob. Ok, not a blob but a bloob, a wanna-be blob. Hence my decision to finally, FINALLY do something about my weight and general level of fitness.

I have decided to blog about my fitness journey, simply so that I can be accountable to myself and others. I am going to now either bore my non-existent readers or shock them by noting down my measurements. I refuse to be a slave to the weighing scale. The damn thing always shows either a weight gain or a weight plateau, which always throws me for a loop and a subsequent dive into the many fatty delights of French Bakery because, if you arecalorie-counting and working out but there are no results, one might as well bow down to the will of the gods and become a willing disciple at the altar of Food.

Without further ado:

Current Measurements:

Chest: 37 (bloody hell)

waist: 31

Stomach: 36 (oh Good Lord)

Bum: 39.5 (Who's got booty now, bitches!)

Arm: 11.5

Weight: 66 kg

Oh Jesus.

Aims:

Weight: 55-57 kg

Chest: 36

Waist: 30

Stomach: Hell, if it was 28 and below I would be over the fricking moon.

Bum: 36

How I am going to do this:

For the month of February, my aims are to basically do AT LEAST 30 min of cardio (on the elliptical) 5 days a week, and if possible a walk twice a week. I should note that at present I do not have gym membership, nor have I signed up for any fitness classes. I thought about doing both, but since my kid is still very young, plus the fact that the timings for the classes is not at all suitable to a stay-at-home mom who has to wait for hubby to come home to babysit, there really is no point in it. I would invariably miss at  least half the classes, and then inevitably get lazy.

As far as diet is concerned, no soda and no cakes/biscuits/bakery stuff.

Day One already done. 30 min of elliptical and so far, no deviations from diet. Lets get cracking!
